Leather from the skin of chicken
The leather which is made of chicken, is from the chicken leg. These are only small surfaces. The ostrich leg, which leather can also be processed, is considerably larger.
The word "chicken leather" (French canepin) does not actually mean leather from the chicken. It’s a white-grey, thin and fine sheep's or goat's leather, which is often used for making ladies' gloves.
Chicken leg leather has a distinctive grain.
Chicken leg leather wallets must be sewn from many skins (www.piracolor.de).
Ostrich leather
The entire skin of the ostrich is processed to leather. The ostrich leg has a striking structure. It looks like lizards or crocodile leather, but it's the chicken leg in big.
The ostrich foot is the "big brother" of the chicken leg.
Duck leather
Als, the tanner does not stop at the feet of the ducks. Such a leather is an absolute rarity.

Turkey leather
