The term "bridle" refers to the belts and harnesses used for pretensioning animals. These are the leather straps, which are tied around the animal and are connected to the carts.

Hardened leather is a greased leather with high tear strength and elasticity. The thickness is generally 4-6 mm. The leather comes from the cattle and is usually vegetable tanned.
