Leather shoe sole oils

Leather sole oil is a care product for the waterproofing of leather soles of shoes. Sole oil also has to provide flexibility and resistance to wear and breaking. When applying the oil, care must be taken that the sole is saturated, but the oil should not reach and stain the upper of the shoe. This is particularly important with porous leather such as suede, nubuck and aniline leather, where irreversible stains can occur on contact with the oil. A certain diligence is therefore indispensable.

Important! Despite a sufficient care with sole oil, leather shoes with leather soles will never be suitable for winter. In case of humidity and snow, other shoes must be worn. Frequent moistening and winter salts severely damage leather soles.
