Teflon leather is a leather used for leather steering wheels. Such leathers have a Teflon finish, which is particularly resistant to damages caused by sweaty hands. Even with solvents, this surface can hardly be dissolved. Such leather feels more plastic-like, which is not noticeable on steering wheels as the surface is firmer in comparison to other areas. This is one of the main reasons, they are barely used for upholstery leather. Colour repairs or adhesive bonding products do not have sufficient adhesion to Teflon leather.
