Scotch Grain was originally an embossing pattern to cover and hide damages in the leather. The embossing pattern reminds on small plant grains and damages cannot be clearly seen after embossing. Today, scotch-grain is one of many typical embossing patterns on leather. Scotchgrain is commonly found on shoes, wallet, handbags and many other leather goods.
