Also, the skin of different bird species is processed to leather. The best known is the ostrich leather. But there are other bird species. Even duck feet, turkey legs or chicken legs are processed to leather. The structure of the bird's legs and feet reminds of reptile leather.

Plumage

Plumage is called the leather from the skin of birds with feathers. The eskimos made jackets of bird plumage in regions where alternative leather was less common.
