Ecrase leather
From www.leather-dictionary.com - The Leather Dictionary
Écrasé leather (French écrasé = squeezed) is usually made from hides of goats or calves. The skin shrink during tanning and gets increased scars, which are completely flattened in the finish. The indentations appear as bright veins on the leather surface. This causes a multi-coloured design.
