The term "bridle" refers to the leather straps and harnesses used to control animals. These can be leather straps and headgear, which are tied around the animal and are connected to the carts.
Hardened leather is a greased leather with high tear strength and elasticity. The thickness is generally 4-6 mm. The leather comes from cattle and is usually vegetable tanned.
