The term "club chair" derives from the times when men met in clubs. Usually, club chairs are leather-covered, do not have high backrests, but are comfortable and in the more expensive price segment. Typical are the Chesterfield club chairs from England, but also the vegetable-tanned leather chairs from France and Belgium.
