"Antique leather" means furniture that is more than 100 years old or has an appearance of antique leather.
Real antique furniture is more than 100 years old and can hardly be found. Leather furniture ages by use and light and are disposed of at some time. Only a few pieces escape this path. Mainly antique chairs or leather desk tops pass the hurd of the 100 years.
Antique chair leather is often Embossed leather embossed and looks beautiful. But the leather is usually already brittle, dry and sensitive. Depending on the degree of damage, the leather can be restored more or less well. Only very well-preserved leather is still durable even after restoration. This is very rarely the case and the leather should be used carefully.
Antique chairs have mostly beautiful embossed motifs.
