A Semi nubuck is a nubuck leather which is partly colour-finished. On some parts of the surface you can see the rough of the nubuck and on some parts of the surface, the nubuck is covered with a thin irregular colour coating. Therefore, the leather has a multi-coloured surface and a patchy design. The area of application for semi-nubuck is mainly the furniture area. It looks like vintage leather due to the patina.
Semi-nubuck is not pigmented leather and not nubuck.
This vintage leather is a very lightly sanded, pigmented leather. It is not sanded enough that it looks like a nubuck leather. The transition from one leather type to another is very detailed and can be confusing for end customers to understand.
