Quebracho is a vegetable tannin of South American origin. It is derived from wood from trees that thrive in subtropical plains at average daily temperatures of 24 to 28 degrees Celsius, mainly in Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. The tannin content of the wood is 20%.
