Electrostatic charging of leather - Antistatic spray for leather
Normally it does not come to extraordinary static charges of leather. Leather furniture and vehicle leather become dusty over time, but electrostatic charging is rarely the reason.
In the few cases where these phenomena occurs, leather is strongly pigmented. The top clouration then acts as an insulator and reduces the conductivity.
In such cases it is recommended to use commercially available antistatic sprays, which are also suitable for fabric. Always test the products in a unseen area. Apply and rub strongly with a cloth to check if there is any color ablation.
